CORNAVIRUS UPDATE 13/06/2020

Thank you to everyone who has helped keep things running over the past 3 months.

We are happy to announce that we are now opening up for vaccines that were due in April, and those that were due in May later on this month.

We are also starting to get some routine neuterings booked in, so if you are looking to get some procedures booked in please contact the practice.

As per government guidelines, we will still be doing all our consulting out in the car park with social distancing rules applying. If you are still isolating or shielding, please let us know so we are aware of individual circumstances.

CORNAVIRUS UPDATE 25/03/2020

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our loyal clients for your cooperation at this difficult time

Further to BVA and RCVS guidance, routine consults such as vaccines, claw clips etc are postponed until further notice

We are still running consults 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm for EMERGENCIES ONLY

Routine surgeries are also postponed until further notice

If you have any queries regarding anything, please phone the practice; we still have staff answering phones and vets available to triage any animals over the phone

As always, your animals are important to us and we are here to assist you in any way we can. Our 24/7 emergency service is also still running

COVID-19 UPDATE 23/03/2020

With daily changes to government advise, we are taking our responsibility seriously to both reduce pressure on the NHS by maintaining public health whilst still offering our 24/7 emergency service. Our continuing dedication to your beloved pets and ensuring our dedication to animal welfare is of paramount importance to us at this difficult time

We are taking advice from our governing bodies such as the British Veterinary Association and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as to how to proceed to maintain our standards of care to your animals combined with complying with the governments social distancing legislation. Please see below the measures we are taking to minimise exposure within the practice to safeguard both our clients and our staff:

> Consultations hours have been altered. We will be consulting from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm at 15 minute intervals to reduce the number of people we have in the practice at any time

> Routine appointments that have already been made are being honoured, however any non-essential veterinary work will be postponed forthwith

> We are asking that only one owner comes in with their animals, and that they wait in the car park until being called in. If possible, consults will be taking place in the car park

> If you have symptoms, or are self isolating please call the practice for advise before coming down. Please do not enter the practice yourself. It may be necessary for someone else to bring your animal down if a consultation is recommended

> There are hand sanitisers and disinfectant around the practice, and we ask that clients use these on entering and exiting the practice. We also ask that clients adhere to the World Health Organisation 20 second hand washing technique

> If any animals require repeat prescriptions, and you are at risk or self isolating, we are offering a home delivery or postage service. Please ring the practice to enquire

> Essential farm work is continuing, but we ask that all our farmers ring ahead with any orders to ensure we can get everything ready in advance

We would like to reassure all our loyal clients that this is a fluid situation that could potentially change at any moment, but we intend to work within the guidelines announced without compromising animal welfare and treatment and the health and safety of the general public

Please call the practice for further information and help if concerned. We are all in this situation together and are here to support you and the animals that bring so much love into our lives
