Andrew graduated from Cambridge University and has owned Peak Veterinary since 2000 after joining the practice a few years previously. On the small animal side, he does most of the orthopaedic work and is an accomplished surgeon. He is often seen driving around Matlock popping from farm to farm on his daily rounds. He has a love for jack russell terriers, currently owning Polly and her daughter Betty
Hollie qualified from Bristol University in July 2016 and has been at Peak ever since. Originally from Surrey, she has made the move up to the more rural area of Matlock. Her main interests include small animal surgery, cattle fertility and small ruminants. She has also started developing a few alpaca clients, so watch this space!
Emily graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2019 and joined us in the November of the same year. She has a keen interest in small animal surgery and small ruminants.
Catherine has been working at Peak for about 10 years. She spends time both helping the vets with surgery and works on reception; many of you will be familiar with her. She is an active person and often spends time walking her dog, Poppy. She also likes a good dance when the mood strikes!
Julie was one of the original staff members when Andrew took over the practice. She only works part-time now, to give time for her other hobbies. During the winter, she spends a lot of her time beating with her 4 spaniels. She also enjoys running around the peaks.
Claire is the most recent member of our nursing staff; she started in April 2017. She is a very bubbly person and is becoming a friendly face on reception. She has settled in very well and is due to finish her Veterinary Care Assistant training in July this year with a view to progressing onto her Veterinary Nurse training. When not at work, she has 3 dogs, a horse and 2 sheep to keep her occupied
Heather is our main assistant during operations having started here at Peak in 2001. She has an incredible way with the animals, and is a very calming influence on them. She has 2 long-haired rescue cats, keeping her busy on grooming duties!
